Challenge

The client needed a Chrome extension that could handle thousands of open tabs without slowing down the browser. Users were losing context, wasting time searching for tabs, and struggling with session restore after crashes. Existing solutions were either too heavy or lacked cross-device sync.

Solution

We built Productivity Pro with a lightweight architecture: React for the popup and options UI, and a service worker that only loads tab metadata on demand. We used chrome.storage.sync for settings and session data so users get the same experience on every device. Smart grouping (by domain, time, or custom labels) and one-click "save session" made it easy to declutter without losing work.
