Real-time analytics overlay for site owners
Challenge
A marketing agency wanted their team to see live analytics (GA4, custom dashboards) without leaving the client’s site. Browser tabs and separate tools were slowing down reviews during calls. They needed a lightweight overlay that could pull from multiple data sources and respect user permissions.
Solution
We built an extension that uses the Chrome Side Panel to show a compact, real-time dashboard. It connects to Google Analytics and the client’s custom API via OAuth and API keys stored securely in the extension. The panel updates every few seconds with key metrics (sessions, conversions, top pages) so account managers can reference live data during site reviews without switching context.
